Goldrush 2010

Coed y Brenin Sunday 7th March

An early year event to challenge you after the dark winter months, and a good warm up for the new season ahead.

We have listened to comments from last year and can promise you another well organised event. We have also added the asked for extra single track, and we will give elite riders a priority start.

Once again, our event is for the benefit of ROTARY supported charities and local good causes with the emphasis on youth, and the elderly. We hope that your enjoyment will be to the benefit of these deserving causes.

Since original details of the event were published, the Haiti quake has happened. After speaking to a sample of entrants we have decided not to give souvenirs to all entrants this year but to immediately divert that element of your entry fees directly to SHELTERBOX.

This is a charity started by a Cornish Rotary club which sends these boxes to disaster areas to provide tents and equipment to those made homeless. Haiti is one of the biggest distributions to date with over 3300 boxes delivered so far, the first within 48 hours, and another 1000 on the way,. To see just what is involved go to www.shelterbox.org

The more entrants we get, the more we help we can provide.

The picture below is just one of many and shows Ulrigue Idal with her two day old son born on 25th Jan in her Shelterbox tent.

Please enter and support this deserving cause.

Entries close March 1st.

We hope to see you on March 7th.
